Amanda lives with her family in midcoast Maine, where she has worked with the creative agency Naretiv since 2017.

An interest in storytelling through visual art has been a constant throughout her professional experiences at media companies and museums. After earning a master’s in Public Humanities, Amanda worked with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History to develop and curate the Places of Invention exhibition, which explored the relationship between place and ingenuity throughout American history. The exhibition was on view from 2015 through 2023. On the side in D.C. Amanda volunteered as a tour docent at the National Building Museum and led historical Segway tours up and down Pennsylvania Avenue.

In 2010, managing a film screening for the Smithsonian opened the door to a new chapter in New York. With Wicked Delicate Films, founded by the creators of King Corn, Amanda produced the feature-length documentary The Search for General Tso, an exploration of America’s Chinese food and the history of Chinese American restaurants. She produced and directed an award-winning short documentary about the 1939 New York World’s Fair that you can watch here if you are so inclined.

In 2013, Amanda moved to western Massachusetts for a job combining museum and production know-how. With Monadnock, Amanda’s research and interviews informed immersive media experiences designed for the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and Berkshire Museum.

When her last freelance production project ended in 2017, Amanda jumped at a chance to explore her passion for graphic design as an in-house designer with a small agency. As a designer with Naretiv and a core member of its creative team, she specializes in print and digital design, including annual reports, fundraising collateral, brochures, websites, logos, ads, and web-based graphics. She collaborates with all kinds of clients - from small businesses to mission-driven nonprofits - to provide effective, clear, and compelling design solutions. She is most inspired by mission-centered projects that contribute to a better, healthier, and more just future.

She loves a cortado, a big blue ocean, reading, road trips, and her two little boys.
